Living in the Valley
News

Doodle4Ukraine is a group of artists who, through doodling, want to raise local community awareness and funds for the current conflict in Ukraine. The project is being organised by artist Katie Kershaw, who joined by other artists, has made a team of doodlers.

Representing Clitheroe is Lucie Cooke a local (very talented) freelance creative. On a short walk through Clitheroe, you notice plenty of examples of Lucie’s work, from window doodles in cafes to gorgeous murals in ladies’ clothes shops.

After hearing the appeal, we reached out to Lucie to get involved. Valley Living will be offering a donation of £25 on behalf of the project to the British Red Cross and are proud to feature the doodle in our shop window.

Lucie says:  “Thank you SO much for all your support the last week! We’ve honestly been so overwhelmed with the support, extraordinary generosity, love and kindness from everyone to Doodles4Ukraine.”

“30 wonderful businesses in Clitheroe took part in @doodle4ukraine and donated! We are on our way to making over £6000 for @britishredcross which is incredible!”

Although bookings for the doodles have ended there is still time to donate to the cause, which will be contributed to the British Red Cross appeal – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/doodle4ukraine
