At Valley Living one of the things we pride ourselves on is having a beautiful window. Every six weeks is new window day for us and the expectations are always high, luckily we have the best person in the Ribble Valley on the job. Lisa who works with us at the shop in Clitheroe is extremely creative in many ways, from being an award winning florist, to having her own crafting business making handmade and heartfelt bespoke items!

All the products have been carefully selected by the team for the season and Lisa works with these to create a beautiful effect both in the window and throughout the shop. The themes are planned well in advance, the searching and sourcing of our unique products begins, everything is delivered which is exciting 🙂 and then the night before the big day is when we clear out the previous window, giving Lisa a blank canvas to work with.

By around 2pm the magic has come to life and in front of us is another beautifully dressed window. During this process we usually find a lot of intrigued customers having a peep in and wondering what we could be coming up this time, as well as our followers on instagram voting for what our theme could be on our story polls.

Our 2019 favourite windows are definitely our award winning Christmas window along with our afternoon tea themed summer garden!

This Christmas window prize is definitely something we are all proud of for 2019, Valley Living were awarded the best dressed window! The festive display competition is an annual event and consists of around 150 windows. Our town crier Roland Hailwood had the wonderful job of viewing each and every christmas window in Clitheroe to see who deserved the prize. Thank you Roland for picking our window, we are now staring at our wonderful sparkling trophy beaming with pride!!

Well done to everyone who entered including Dawsons and Fancy Frocks who were runners up. It really is super to win an award like this, it was Clitheroe’s Christmas gift to us.
