Valley Living was established by me, Audrey Spencer, to create a unique collection of dining accessories and gifts to the high street of Clitheroe – helping us to enjoy good food, and good company, in style.
I established Valley Living in 2017, to create a unique collection of dining accessories and gifts, which help us enjoy the good things in life, in style.
My home has always been in the beautiful Ribble Valley area of England, not only surrounded by beautiful countryside but also award winning producers, purveyors and restaurateurs of fine food.
My own love of food, probably originates from growing up on my family’s farm in the Ribble Valley, where mealtimes would often involve being joined by friends and family – all eager to enjoy the wonderful farmhouse fayre (and warmth) around the kitchen table. Good food and friendship were also essential ingredients of any local social gatherings, from house warming and birthday parties to village celebrations and charity fundraising.
After qualifying as a chef I gained a wide range of first hand hospitality experience, from award winning restaurants and major sporting events to boutique country house hotels and a Royal Palace.
Subsequently and for more than a decade, I taught hospitality skills and professional qualifications to a wide range of young people and adults. My hope is that, those I taught will go on to use their skills helping themselves and others have more enjoyable times with loved ones.
Valley Living, is therefore my invitation to you all, to enjoy comfort, belonging and friendship – sharing the enjoyment of good food and drink with family and friends – having fun together in style.
Hope you enjoy Valley Living!
The Ribble Valley is a pretty special place, apparently even the Queen says she would love retire here if she was ever allowed to hang up her crown!
The bustling market town of Clitheroe is situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley and it is full of charm and independent small shops, and we even have our own castle!
